New Studio Recorded Demos Set To Vintage Monster Creature Feature Film Clips

"Superstition" by The Sound Station

Raw Angsty Sixties Garage with Early Blues and RnR elements

Here is a mashup video we created for a snippet of our newly recorded song "Superstition" with drums, twangy acoustic and fuzz guitars with Champ crooning his guts out.

"The Phantom's Superstition" mashup between a sample of "Superstition" and "Phantom of The Opera"

We recently recorded three songs with a full outfit in June 2017 and this is one of them. "Superstition" This piece is a mashup of "Superstition" and "Phantom of The Opera"

We love the macabre, vintage creature feature, monster movies, classic horror, vintage sci-fi movies, silent films, 1920s and 1930s film and music, sixties garage and 50s RnB, a great compatriot of surfy, warm fuzz guitar, swinging boogie woogie guitar and rockabilly as well as pre war rural blues crooners. Our addiction to Rock n Roll and the eerie creepy side of life boils and congeals into a pretty gooey horrific slop of garage swamp heaven.

The Wasp Woman (Classic Horror / Sci-Fi Movie) 1959

We absolutely adore vintage sci-fi monster films like The Wasp Woman

THE WASP WOMAN full movie

A cosmetics queen develops a youth formula from jelly taken from queen wasps. She fails to anticipate the typical hoary side- effects. Directors: Roger Corman, Jack Hill (uncredited) Writers: Leo Gordon (screenplay), Kinta Zertuche (story) Stars: Susan Cabot, Anthony Eisley, Barboura Morris

This era of film in the 1950's is a big influence on how we approach writing and performing songs. It's the attitude of fright, angst, and outrageousness. The imagination and stretching mind to the outer limits. We love the acting, the movie sets, the sci-fi creatures create that more real than life fright. The danger is akin to the suspenseful fuzz and surfy rock n' roll that go so well with these types of films as well as the romance of the orchestra soundtracks.

Will be writing about these inspiring films we can't get enough of and let you know what we think about them.

This one with the Wasp Woman being a woman who enjoyed a supremely beautiful hey day that is starting to approach it's evening time and she finds out about this youth serum from a well-meaning scientist. She is too impatient with the experimental treatments and she overdoses herself and unwittingly becomes more horrifying than old age could ever be. Now she literally has to suck the life out of anyone just to stay abuzz. The excitement is that no one knows that the source of the disappearing people in the building is the sweet woman they have known and worked with for years until it's almost too late.Thatzzzzzz just too bad.

Come On In video

Okay so very happy to bring you updates on our quest to be one of the trashiest most legit garage rock n roll bands. Starting with Athens and spreading like alien guts.

Here is a video we made for Come On In the live and lo-fi version.

Come On In by The Sound Station "Live and Lo-Fi at the Tanyard Chateau in Athens"

30's Boogie Woogie style inspired from Memphis Minnie if she played Garage Fuzz and Billie Holiday if she played in a Rock n Roll band. Not just an obvious homage but more of a Thank You card.

Debut Release: Live and Lo-Fi at the Tanyard Chateau in Athens Vol 1

This is the very first release as The Sound Station! We are now a three piece of two guitars and bass.

We recorded on a very small lo-fi budget at the mid 19th-century Tanyard Chateau in Athens, GA. We had the most wonderful time that day, May 27th 2017.

This debut album features a dude that goes by The Sandman on bass.

With this lo-fi release, dive right on in head first into the Raw Garage Romance that is The Sound Station.

As will be obvious when you first hit play, we are influenced by Sixties Garage, lots of fuzz, Raucus Fifites Rock n Roll, Chaotic Emotions alternating with Eerie and Intimate Romance.
